When the chalet Le 1992 was built in 2012, a decade after the construction of the owners other chalet, the vision was to capture the excitement and spirit of the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics. This event held special significance for the resort of Courchevel and the village of Le Praz, where the thrilling ski jumping competitions took place.

Ski jumping, a breathtaking sport with jumps reaching up to 140 meters, continues to impress all who witness it. Standing before the ‘Tremplins du Praz,’ visitors are often left in awe as they watch ski jumpers during their training sessions. For this family, ski jumping is more than a sport; it’s a part of their history, with Sylvain having participated for several years under the supportive eye of his grandmother, Mamie Angèle.

Perfectly situated near the village amenities and the new cable car that whisks guests to Courchevel 1850 in just eight minutes, Le 1992 is a modern and authentic mountain chalet that offers both style and comfort. The inviting living room, with its modern sofa, central fireplace, designer lighting, and the warm glow of natural materials, creates a cozy space to share stories and unwind after a day on the slopes. The chalet effortlessly combines contemporary design with the timeless charm of Savoyard authenticity.

On the top floor, the balcony provides a perfect perch for soaking up the sun or admiring the snow-covered peaks. The open kitchen is both charming and functional, featuring a stunning Zimbabwean granite worktop that doubles as a magnificent bar. Here, guests can enjoy a delicious coffee from the Jura bean machine or sip on one of the fine wines or champagnes from the chalet’s cellar.

The dining room, with its large 12-person table, is an ideal gathering place for family and friends to enjoy a convivial meal. The gentle crackling of logs in the impressive fireplace adds to the room’s warmth and atmosphere.

The master bedroom is a luxurious retreat, south-facing with a balcony, and features a queen-size bed that can also be separated into twins, along with a small desk and a sofa. This spacious room is perfectly furnished, with enough space to add a cot if needed. The bright and elegant bathroom, with double basins and a large bathtub, provides an ideal spot to unwind.

Bedroom L’Eclipse, named after the legendary downhill slope that leads into Le Praz, is a spacious and inviting room with warm tones. It features a queen bed that can be converted into twins, and there is also the option of adding a sofa bed or a cot. The adjoining bathroom is comfortable and functional, with a walk-in shower and double basin.

Bedroom Plume is a cozy space ideal for children. It offers a comfortable bed for sweet dreams, ample storage, and a functional bathroom. The balcony, facing the valley, offers a timeless and serene view.

Bedroom Cow, set under traditional wooden beams, exudes authentic Savoyard charm. This room is known for its cozy atmosphere and comfort. The balcony, overlooking the pastures, provides a lovely spot for daydreaming while taking in the panoramic views.

To accommodate larger groups, an additional bedroom is available at the Ski Room level. This room, which can be added to chalet Le 1992 during the winter season, has secure access through the Ski Room only.

For relaxation, the chalet offers an outdoor wellness area in the Scandinavian style, equipped with an outdoor sauna and hot tub overlooking the mountains. Every detail has been considered to help guests unwind in this cocooning space dedicated entirely to well-being.

Guests wake up to warm, dry ski boots and ready-to-go equipment, making it easy to hit the slopes each day. The ski room is shared with chalet Le 1946 and serves as the only connection between the two properties—a perfect spot to share excitement and stories with fellow guests. With drinks and cereal bars available, everything is designed to ensure guests can make the most of the 600 km of slopes in the majestic 3 Valleys ski area. Skis ready, it’s time to go!
